Police are asking for help identifying someone they want to speak with after a Blaenau Gwent girls’ soccer team had equipment stolen earlier this week.
Abertillery Belles, a football club for girls aged 5 and over, had equipment stolen following a burglary at Roseheyworth Primary School between Saturday and Monday, Gwent police confirmed.
The force has now appealed for information on the incident and is seeking to identify an individual captured on CCTV footage.
A statement from Gwent Police said: “We are requesting information after receiving a report of break-in at an outdoor container at Roseheyworth Road, Abertillery on Monday June 28 at around 3:25 pm.
“An orange and black Stihl FS56C brush cutter and its harness were reportedly removed from the storage unit, located at Roseheyworth Millennium Elementary School, between 1:30 p.m. on Saturday June 26 and 1:00 p.m. on Monday June 28.

âInvestigations are ongoing and officers are asking for information that could help identify this individual, who we would like to speak to in connection with this break-in because he may be able to assist the officers.
